Vineyard

From our famous Saint-Jean-de-Muzols terroir called Sainte Epine composed by altered granit at the top of the hill (380 m alt.), this vines go deep in the rock in order to get minerals needed. The most beautiful grapes are selected to product this high quality wine and the full south-exposure insure a full ripeness of the fruit. As our whole vineyard this vines are worked with eco-friendly methods in order to respect biodiversity and our beautiful landscapes.

Wine-Making

Only the best grapes are selected to make this wines. Harvest are made in cases in small volume in order to don’t crush it prior to get the cellar. Then we put directly our full bunches in barrel to make an integral wine-making in oak. Thus extraction are made by rolling the barrels thanks to the OXO Line system. Inorder to get smooth and elegant tannins, this wine lies down in barrels for approx 18 months.

Tasting

This red Saint Joseph has a dark and intense ruby colour with purplish tints. Powerful nose, with peppery and blackcurrant aromas. On the palate, we discover the finesse and velvety tannins. It match very well with red meat only cooked on BBQ in order to enjoy peppery aromas. Ideally served it around 18°C.
