Nos commentaires de dégustation VINOUS

Joshua Raynolds est un très célèbre journaliste dégustateur outre-Atlantique. C’est à New-York qu’il a posé ses valises après avoir passé plusieurs années à travailler dans le commerce du vin. Aujourd’hui, il est contributeur pour le très respecté VINOUS magazine. Dernièrement, il a dégusté nos cuvées sur le millésime 2015. Ce qui lui a permis de nous livrer ces commentaires de dégustation :

 

AOC Crozes-Hermitage « Signature » Blanc, 2015  : 

Score : 89 / Bright yellow. Fresh pear, honey and white flowers on the fragrant nose. Juicy and broad in the mouth, offering ripe orchard and pit fruit flavors and a hint of ginger. Closes sappy, refreshingly brisk and clean, leaving smoky mineral and bitter pear skin notes behind.

 

AOC Hermitage Terres d’Arces, 2015 : 

Score : 92-94 / Vivid purple. Powerful cherry preserve, dark berry and violet aromas display a brooding, deeply concentrated character, slowly picking up an exotic Indian spice quality with aeration. Offers sharply focused, palate-staining dark fruit and floral pastille flavors deliver power and depth as well as vibrancy thanks to a spine of juicy acidity. Finishes with powerful thrust and excellent length, leaving mineral-tinged dark fruit notes behind.

 

AOC Cornas Terres d’Arce, 2015 :  

Score : 91-93 / Opaque ruby. Expressive, spice-accented aromas of cassis, cherry compote, violet, olive and smoky minerals, with peppery overtone that gains strength as the wine opens up. Lush dark berry preserve and floral pastille flavors show superb depth and velour-like texture and a smoky flourish appears on the back half. The extremely long, floral-driven finish features slow-building tannins, appealing sweetness and a hint of cola.

 

AOC Crozes-Hermitage Terres d’Arce 2015 : 

Score : 90-92 / Glass-staining ruby. Expansive aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, mocha and licorice, with smoke and violet nuances building in the glass. At once deeply concentrated and lively on the palate, showing very good clarity and spicy lift to its sappy black and blue fruit flavors. Finishes smooth, spicy and quite long, with a hint of bitter chocolate and gentle framing tannins.

 

AOC Saint-Joseph Terre d’Arce 2015 : 

Score : 90-92 / Bright purple. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe black and blue fruits, licorice and floral pastilles, with a zesty mineral quality building in the glass. Offers palate-staining blueberry liqueur, licorice and cherry-vanilla flavors that expand with air while maintaining vibrancy. Becomes spicier on the clinging, dark fruit-dominated finish, which is framed by smooth, building tannins.

Score : 88-90 /Deep ruby. Aromas of ripe dark berries and licorice are lifted and sharpened by a peppery nuance. Smooth, broad and spicy on the palate, offering subtly sweet black and blue fruit flavors that tighten up steadily on the back half. Finishes gently sweet and broad, with a touch of warmth and rounded tannins.

 

AOC Crozes-Hermitage « La Chasselière » 2015 : 

Score : 89-91 / Youthful violet color. Fresh, mineral-tinged cherry and blackberry aromas are complicated by suggestions of cola and pipe olive. Energetic and juicy on the palate, offering bitter cherry and cassis flavors and a spicy jolt of black pepper. Closes sappy and smooth, with a lingering suggestion of bitter cherry and firm tannic grip.

 

AOC Crozes-Hermitage « Fleur de Syrahne » 2015 : 

Score : 87-89 /Brilliant violet color. Spice-accented scents and flavors of fresh dark berries, licorice and cracked pepper, with a hint of violet emerging slowly. Lively and sharply focused, showing good depth and building warmth and sweetness. Subtle tannins shape the finish, which echoes the peppery note.

 

AOC Cornas « Les Murettes » 2015 :

Score : 90-92 / Dark purple. Ripe dark berries, cherry liqueur and licorice on the deeply perfumed, spice-laced nose. Round and fleshy in style, with velvety texture to its densely packed black and blue fruit and spicecake flavors. Open-knit, emphatically fruity and seamless in texture, finishing with very good breadth, building tannins and lingering sweetness.

 

AOC Saint-Joseph « Saint Epine » 2015 : 

Score : 89-91 / Inky ruby. Cassis, blackberry and cherry on the fragrant nose, with notes of olive and candied flowers adding complexity. Dense, sappy and focused on the palate, offering rich dark fruit flavors that are braced and sharpened by a core of juicy acidity. A suggestion of black pepper comes up with air and lingers on the sappy, subtly tannic and nicely persistent finish.
