The Côte-Rôtie appellation is spread out on 330 hectares. Syrah vines planted on the top of the hill called “Côte Rozier” on steep terraces up to the Rhone river. This terroir is composed by altered granit.
As the entire “Terres d’Arce” range, grapes come from a single vineyard selection which offers a specific terroir expression. Harvested in cases in order to avoid crushing of grapes prior to few days of cold pre-fermentation in order to extract more fruity aromas. All wine-making process is made in barrels with 30 percent of new oak and this wine lay down at least 18 months in the same barrels for ageing.
Dark purple color. Full bodied, this wine express the richness of its terroir through liquorice, blackcurrant, black cherries and plum notes . Integral vinification develops aromas of olive and thyme after few months. Ideally serve at 18°C.
