Only 136 hectares make Hermitage appellation so special and make us very lucky to owned a part of this prestigious land. Two different plots, on “Les Beaumes” and “Les Dionnières” terroir which is essentially composed by chalky-clay but with granit crystals from the top of the hill due to erosion. Thus our old vines planted 60 years ago, enjoy a full south exposure on soft slopes. Here pruning are made with horses in order to respect the beauty of this soil. As our full vineyard, Hermitage is also followed with eco-friendly methods in order to respect this terroir and this beautiful landscape.
Harvest are made in cases in order to don’t crush this grapes prior to get the cellar. Full fermentation in barrels thanks to OXO line system, extraction by rolling the 400L barrels and ageing during 18 months in the same one.
Bright garnet colour with purplish tints. Violets and licorice aromas come in the nose. On the palate, burst of black fruit such as blackerry and currant, silky tannins offer plenty of spices notes. Served it at 18°C.
