Special selection of old vines from 2 different plots on famous “Les Châssis” terroir. La Chasselière is produced from old vines of 30 years old, planted on deep chalky-clay soil with some small round pebbles brought by the
Rhône. As our entire vineyard this vines are worked with eco-friendly methods in order to respect biodiversity and our beautiful landscapes.
La Chasselière is made from old vines on different terroirs. Each plot is vinified separately in order to keep specifities of each one. Winemaking is made in wooden cone-shaped vats and then place in barrels and « Demi –
Muids » (larger barrel) for a 12 months ageing.
Deep garnet color of this Crozes-Hermitage offers some nice purple tints. The rich bouquet of aromas explodes in the nose. Long length, this well-balanced wine offers black fruit to black cherry notes and finished by silky tannins. Served it at 18°.
