“Signature” is the result of a blend of Roussanne and Marsanne planted on four separate plots located in the communes of Mercurol and Larnage. Mercurol plot is composed by deep chalky-clay soil with few peebles. Whereas Larnage vines grow up on Granit and Kaolin terroir well-known as “Terres Blanches de Larnage”. Average age of those vines are 25 years old. As our whole vineyard this vines are worked with eco-friendly methods in order to respect biodiversity and our beautiful landscapes.
In order to express faithfully the richness of both terroirs, Signature is vinified by plot and so by varietals. Thus Roussane and Marsanne are vinified separately and then blended just before bottling. Quarter of the harvest is placed in stainless steel vats while the rest is ageing in 400L barrels.
Deep yellow color. Lot of fruit in the nose: Slightly lemony apricot notes give this wine an explosive bouquet of aromas. On the palate, Signature reveals all its subtlety through aromas of white flowers and honey and a finish on citrus notes. In its youth, this wine will be perfect for an aperitif then, after few years, with cooked fish, creamy dishes or poultry. This Crozes-Hermitage will deliver its full potential if it served between 12° and 14°.
